Season 13 Preview

Hello everyone,
Next season brings a packed update, with some balance adjustments.
Extended League Qualifications
Qualification spots will now open for 2nd place in divisions below Emerald. There’s no reason to limit this opportunity to top-tier divisions, players in lower divisions should have more chances to progress.
C-Tier Promotion Threshold
The promotion requirement from C-Tier to B-Tier will increase from 1000 to 1500 rank points. This change reflects recent ladder adjustments, as 1000 points has become too easy to reach without strong performance in Rookies.
Event Points Decay
Event points decay will return from 10% to 50%, as originally designed. Recent seasons showed disproportionate growth, with some teams exceeding 30 points. With this adjustment, we expect a healthier balance.
Streaming: Player Activity Factor
Streaming revenue has heavily favored high-fame players from outside the roster. To diversify this, we’re introducing a new extra factor: Activity.
- Activity ranges from 0 to 10
- Each official match played grants 1 point
- Activity decays after 7 days without official matches
- Revenue formula addition: Activity × 6 × Room Level
- Activity of course is per player, so a player needs to be in the lineup of the official match to count
- The revenue from activity is an extra, added to the normal base revenue
This adds the option to make some extra money if you happen to use a competitive player for streaming.
Talents adjustments and balance
We are bringing back some love to the sniper and hoping to see more play. So we are rolling out the following changes:
Sniper mastery
Before: Increases aim, handling and quickness when holding a sniper
After: Reduces the close-range sniper accuracy penalty by 10/20/30/40/50%
Quickdraw mag => replaced by *Bolt Action*
Before: Increases AWP reload speed
After: Reduces sniper fire rate by 2 ticks
Quick scope
Before: Reduces sniper delay close distance by 20%
After: Reduces sniper shooting delay on close distance by 1/2/3/4/5 ticks
Focus (new)
Your first successful sniper shot at mid or long distance never hit legs
Additionally we are adding a new general talent:
Backstabber
Decreases miss chances by 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5% when backstabbing
Default Tactics Behavior
If no tactics are selected, the system will now randomly choose from eligible tactics instead of using fixed defaults. This:
- Provides a better fallback when tactics are forgotten
- Removes the "i have no other tactics" excuse for playing defaults in competitive scenarios
- Protects competitive integrity from unconscious mistakes by not preparing certain matches
Overtime Tactic Behavior
Previously, tactic pools reset during overtime side switches. This will no longer happen, forgotten tactics will carry into overtime, preventing them from being reused.
Mill v1 removal
We are removing legacy Mill from the game, as everyone should have migrated everything by now.
