Let's talk about some upcoming changes for next season.

Ladder draws
We are going to allow ties to happen in ladder. We believe this will help with the granularity of positions, allowing us to rely less on Buchholz as a tiebreaker and produce fairer results.

This will also have an impact on betting, where we plan to add a new option to bet on ties, with a much higher revenue.

Major autoqualification slots
We are removing 4 slots from the Major's autoqualification criteria. These are the 4 slots currently awarded based on high ranking.

We believe ranking alone is not the best metric for granting a direct spot in the Major, as you may sometimes see top teams that didn't achieve anything last season or are currently taking a break.

This means there will be 4 additional S-Tier teams in Stage 3, so we are also expanding the number of qualification spots from Stage 2 from 32 to 44.

Note that if a team happens to autoqualify through more than one criterion (e.g. winning ladder and league), that spot will fall back to ranking.

Leadership points boost
This should not come as a surprise. Most people are struggling to get their leader to that sweet 5% before it's too late, so we are going to boost the overall leadership points gained by 20%.

These changes will take effect during the season update.
