Welcome everyone to season 5!

 

We have several new stuff this season, you can read more about it here but this is what you already know:

-New dedicated Championship page

-New tactics use type settings for Opens, end of season tournament and championship/cups

-New team shirt customizer

-New C-Tier

 

But we have added a few other things as well. Let me get into it.

 

Academy small rework

 

We know how weak tryouts are in the earlier levels, to the point where it feels like a chore to get in there just to reject them everyday. So we've made a small tweak where the weakest generated tryout has limits equivalent to what you'd get at scouting power 50, and from power 1 to 49 we are just playing with the frequency you get them.

 

In other words, at power 1 you have a low chance to get a tryout of any kind, as your scouting power increases it is more likely for a new tryout to show, and this tryout will always be "power 50", until you actually reach scouting power 50 where there's 100% chance to get a new tryout everyday.

 

We hope this method will make it more meaningful by getting rid of very weak tryouts, while also creating some excitement towards that scouting power buildup.

 

Then two small changes:

• We added the much needed expiration date to each tryout card in the list.,
• You can now change rookies favorite weapon.,

 

Calendar tweak

We have made two small changes that we think are for the best:

-We are dividing the major groups stage to two days, having the 2nd day played out on Day 21 where round of 16 was being played. And round of 16 will now be held on Day 27 and quarterfinals on Day 28. Pushing semifinals to Day 34 with finals/bronze to day 35 at the end of the season.,

-We are having the end of season tournament playing on Thursday/Friday right before major ends.,

 

A-Tier FOW

We are turning fog of war on for A-Tier. This comes mostly from the new distribution of team tiers where the A-Tier is now smaller with more prominent managers. This will have less impact than it sounds, since the only A-Tier specific tournament is the qualifiers / end of season.

 

Inactive teams

Our inactivity system is now fully in place and we deleted around 400 inactive teams. This number may seem scary but we are actually happy that the resulting number of active teams is at 412 as you can see in the ladder team count.
