Season 4 is here

Welcome to a new season of CPL Manager!
This season is all about the exciting rework of the tournament system — featuring a single major tournament and a road to it with equal opportunities for everyone.
If you haven’t read about it yet, you can check it out here.
We’ve also reworked the academy tryout generation system. You’ll now notice a *Scouting Power* counter showing the quality of the tryouts you are going to receive. We’ve translated the cooldowns from the old system into the new one in a way that ensures those who have already been waiting a long time for a good tryout will start with high scouting power. Please let us know if you think your scouting power is incorrect.
You can read more about this here.
Talents Changes
Some small changes have been made to talents, including the removal of the *Insta-Turn* talent. While it looked pretty cool in clutch situations, it was also impacting 5v5 encounters, making it difficult to debug unexpected outcomes. We’d like for it to make a comeback in the future if we can find a better implementation.
The next talent change is a significant nerf to the *Hawk Eye* talent, as it was too impactful at long distances. The distance penalty reduction has been changed to 5%.
GAME ENGINE
We’re adding a few quality-of-life improvements, balance tweaks, and a pretty impactful rework to the shooting distance algorithm.
Players Movement Rework
We are making changes to movement skill and the wiggling:
• Wiggling is now triggered randomly and not tied to a skill, with a 0% chance at close range and much higher chances at very long distances.
• Movement skill now directly counters the enemy’s aim skill, with max movement resulting in a 10-point accuracy reduction for the opponent.
Shoot Angle Advantage Rework
Players can shoot while enemies are within 14 degrees from their center of vision angle. This will now be scale based on awareness instead, meaning lower awareness will require players to lock their aim more precisely before shooting.
Fire Rate Rework & M4A1 Changes
We’ve implemented a more granular fire rate system and adjusted the M4A1 as follows since now is a bit strong with the long distance changes:
• Fire rate changed to 1 shot every 2.2 frames
• Range modifier reduced to 0.86
We are looking to document more stuff related to Game Engine in the website this season.
Have fun!
