Missions are designed to guide you through the key aspects of managing your team, helping you learn the ropes while earning rewards like CPL (our in-game currency) or other bonuses. They're a great way for new players to get oriented and for experienced managers to tackle challenging goals. Whether you're just starting out or aiming for advanced achievements, missions provide structure and motivation. We currently have two main mission types, basic and advanced, with plans to expand them in the future to cover more game mechanics, such as tactics, tournaments, and team building.
Getting Started with Missions
Missions are accessible right from the main menu. They're meant to introduce game features step by step, so you won't feel overwhelmed. For newcomers, missions act as a gentle tutorial, unlocking concepts as you progress.
- How to View and Accept Missions: Head to the Missions tab (which we recommend prioritizing early on). You'll see available missions listed with descriptions, requirements, and rewards. Accept them to start tracking your progress.
- Progress Tracking: As you complete tasks, your progress updates in real-time. Some missions may require you to navigate specific pages, like hiring staff or joining events. Look for tooltips (marked with "?" or "!") for quick explanations on mechanics.
- Onboarding Tip: If you're new, we recommend completing missions before diving into the competition right away. This gives you time to practice in a low-stakes environment, potentially including bot matches, scrims or delayed entry to competitive play for a smoother start.
Basic Missions
Basic missions are your introduction to the fundamentals, focusing on quick wins to build your team's foundation. They're designed to teach core mechanics like money-making and basic management without taking too long. These are especially helpful for players struggling with competition, as they shift focus to achievable goals. Examples of basic missions include:
- Hire a PR Manager to boost your team's visibility.
- Secure a Sponsor to start earning CPL steadily.
- Kick an underperforming team member to optimize your lineup.
- Upgrade your streaming room to generate passive income.
These missions emphasize gaining resources early on, so you learn how to sustain and grow your team. They're straightforward and can often be completed in your first sessions, rewarding you with CPL or small bonuses to kickstart your management journey.
Advanced Missions
Once you've mastered the basics, advanced missions ramp up the challenge. These are longer-term goals that might take at least a week or season to complete, encouraging deeper engagement with the game's systems. They're not simple one-step tasks like "hire a scout", instead, they push you toward strategic decisions and milestones. Examples of advanced missions include:
- Conduct a Tryout interview to reveal their hidden talents.
- Join and win a tournament match.
- Win a league match after preparing with custom tactics.
Advanced missions introduce more complex areas like tournaments, tactics (e.g., creating, duplicating, or deleting tactics; setting up loadouts), and team building (e.g., hiring coaches, doing training/analysis sessions). They're ideal for experienced players looking for bigger rewards and a sense of progression.
Rewards and Benefits
Completing missions isn't just about learning, it's rewarding too!
- Basic Rewards: Smaller amounts of CPL to help you get financially established.
- Advanced Rewards: Larger CPL payouts, exclusive items, or prestige points that can influence your standings.
- Overall Perks: Missions serve as a built-in tutorial, teaching you mechanics without overwhelming pop-ups. They also prepare you for real competition by easing you into systems like match preparation and resource management.
Tips for Completing Missions
- Start Simple: Tackle basic missions first to familiarize yourself with the interface. Use tooltips and the on-page help (look for the "?" or “!” in the top right corner for page-specific guides).
- Plan Ahead: Advanced missions require time and strategy, monitor your progress and use them to explore features like tactics or training.
- Learn as You Go: Missions are crafted to teach without feeling like a chore. If something's unclear, skip ahead if you prefer exploring on your own, but remember: completing them fully unlocks the best rewards and a stronger understanding of the game.
- Avoid Overwhelm: For new players, we suggest delaying full-on participation until you've cleared introductory missions. This could include practice against bots or placement-style matches to build confidence.
