CPL Manager Monetization Philosophy

Status Quo

CPL Manager is, and always will be, a game where skill, time, and smart decisions decide who sits at the top, never your wallet. 
The game is currently funded 100 % out of pocket by Sendoh (the solo developer). To keep the lights on, grow the game, and add new features without compromising fairness, we need sustainable revenue at some point in time. That’s why we already have established the VIP system and planning to carefully add more paid options in the future.

 

Our Promise: No Pay2Win. Ever.

  • Nothing that can be bought will ever give you a competitive advantage in matches, ladders, leagues, tournaments or any other competition.
  • Every mechanic that affects the core gameplay loop (e.g. training speed, scouting power, gear stats, match outcomes, etc.) will stay 100 % free and identical for all managers.
  • VIP and future cosmetic purchases are purely quality-of-life or vanity.
  • That being said, we like experimenting and have many fun ideas in mind to add to the game. If we should ever miss with our evaluation and implement anything, you deem not true to our promise above, please reach out to us and let us know about this. It will never be our intention to purposefully add anything that compromises our stands against Pay2Win.

 

Current Monetization

  • The VIP System: The only paid feature at the moment. It offers convenience (Scrim Finder, Transfer Short List, more demo slots, etc.) but zero impact on match results or player development speed. These options are merely quality-of-life improvements for managers who deem them worthy to pay for.

 

Future Cosmetic & Fun Monetization

Once development resources allow, we’re planning to work on many purely visual and fun items you can buy with Coins (the in-game currency you already pay your VIP, trophy slots and other things with):
Please note that this list is tentative and are based on early ideas we’re having on these. Nothing is set in stone yet, so final implementation might vary from the examples below.

  • Profile pictures, banners, and potentially animated versions
  • Profile picture frames
  • Special team jerseys (unique colors, patterns, subtle glows, emblems)
  • Custom website backgrounds & themes
  • Seasonal decorations
  • Weapon skins for your players

 All of these will be 100 % optional, 100 % cosmetic or convenience.


Why This Model?

We love CPL Manager and want it to last for years and stay fair. We’ve all played titles that turned greedy and died because of it. That won’t happen here. Every cent earned goes straight back into keeping CPL Manager alive and free-to-compete for everyone.
