Tryouts

Tryouts are your pipeline to the future: 15-year-old prospects waiting to be discovered, signed, and turned into main-roster superstars. The Academy system is built for patient builders who love developing talent instead of just buying ready-made stars from the transfer list. Take prospects under your wing and build them up until they turn 20 years old. Then you can decide to graduate them to your main roster or sell them on the transfer list.

 

How Tryouts Appear

We split scouting into two clear phases so you get usable prospects early and god-tier talents still feel special. Keep in mind though, it takes patience to find a real diamond in the rough.

Phase 1: Days 1 to 80: Frequency Phase

  • Starts at 20 % chance for a new tryout each day.
  • Chance increases +1 % daily until it hits 100 % on day 80.
  • From day 80 onward you get one new tryout every single day, guranteed.
  • All tryouts in this phase are capped at 80 scouting power → solid, usable talents you can sign and develop right away.

 

Phase 2: Day 81+: Power Phase

  • Frequency stays 100 % (one tryout per day).
  • A Power counter starts climbing: 1 → 20 every day.
  • Final scouting power = 80 + Power (max 100, just like before).
  • This is where the true godlike prospects can appear.

Hiring a Scout to help you find the next big superstar

Tryouts get generated with some of their skill limits, special abilities, fave map & weapon hidden. The Scout helps you unlock these to see their true potential. The Scout skills work as follows:

  • Insight: 1 to 5 info points revealed on arrival of the TO. The more stars you have on your Scout here, the more points get revealed.
  • Interviews: 5 to 1 day per extra Skill reveal. The more stars your Scout has here, the less time an interview will take.
  • Attraction: +1 to +5 days extra lifespan before the TO leaves. The more stars your Scout has here, the more time a TO will stick around before you have to make a decision or before they are leaving.

 

Interview Room Upgrades

Want to go big when multiple gems show up?

  • Upgrade cost: 3,000 CPL (one-time).
  • Benefits:
    • +1 interview chair → 2 tryouts can be interviewed at the same time.
    • +750 CPL weekly maintenance.
  • You can downgrade anytime and get 1,500 CPL back.

Perfect for scaling up when the talents are hot and scaling down once your academy is stocked.

 

Tips & Insights for Tryout Success

  • Being patient can be key. The longer you wait, the higher the chances to score a great tryout.
  • Utilize your Scout and the Interview Room upgrades strategically. E.g. you can fire the Scout if you don’t need it for a certain period of time to save on payroll. Also, you can downgrade the interview room if you ever made an upgrade to save money.
  • Once you hire a tryout, they will become part of your Academy roster. Whenever a tryout has their birthday, you get to upgrade any skill limit by 1 point. This means, if you sign them at 15, you can allocate an additional 5 points to their skill limits and increase their potential.
  • Once you accept a Tryout, all other tryouts will disappear and your Scouting Power will reset to 0.
  • Once a Tryout turns 20 you have 14 days to graduate them to your main roster. If you fail to do so, they will be put onto the transfer list automatically with the proceedings going into your pocket.
  • While the Tryout is 20 years old and waiting on graduation, they will no longer gain training or experience from academy and cannot play in the 2v2 tournaments.
